In excel 2008, my formula bar has become detached? please help!

As a result, if I open or close excel on my macbook, the formula bar remains on my desktop, and never in the right place when excel is open! I have tried dragging it, and changing the "view" but to no avail...

I am sure it is something simple, but any help you can give would be most appreciated.
